Marketing mentoring

Build a marketing team that can stand on its own

Give your team the skills, confidence and accountability to meet today’s marketing challenges, guided by a senior marketer, at a fraction of the cost of hiring one.

Why mentoring

Senior experience, without the senior salary

Business degrees give a useful grounding, but nothing beats learning in a real, high-pressure environment. Mentoring lets your team upskill on the job and build confidence in practical marketing.

Small businesses often can’t afford a full-time, highly experienced marketer, yet that experience is exactly what’s needed when facing growth. Mentoring gives you the best of both: the lower cost of a marketing employee, and the expertise of a specialist on a pay-as-you-go basis.

My approach

Hands-on first, then stepping back

I’m Paul Cranston, MBA. Alongside my marketing career, I’ve spent decades working with young people: helping them learn to sail, light a fire, or jump off a cliff into the sea (never at the same time). It’s taught me that people can take on far more than they’re often given credit for, when someone believes in them.

My mentoring starts hands-on and moves towards empowerment. Your team gains useful skills and knowledge, then the opportunity to stand on their own.

2

Shape the programme

Together we agree what the programme covers, how often we meet and how long it runs.

I work alongside your team on real marketing tasks.

4

Stand on their own

Support steps back as skills and confidence grow.

Questions about mentoring

In-house marketers at any stage, business owners who handle their own marketing, and new recruits who need to get up to speed quickly.

In person, online or a mix.

It depends on your goals. We agree how we start and what the identifiers are for the process to step back, and monitor as we go.

The price depends on what your team needs. I’ll give you a clear price once we’ve agreed the shape of the programme.
